“BOOK THIS BAND. DO IT. DO IT NOW”
We booked the Del Sharrons to play at our wedding after seeing their poster advertising a gig at our local pub. Having not seen them we decided to travel to the other side of Leicester as it was clear they were in demand but we didn't want to book a band without seeing them first. Wow. After the first song our mind was made up & we booked them there and then.

We asked Matt if it would be possible to learn a song for our first dance - it wasn't a rock n roll song but we wanted a rock n roll twist to it to fit in with both the theme of the wedding, and the dance that we'd been learning for months. They happily obliged, even booking some studio time so we could have the song before the big day. I hadn't really considered how big a deal this was at the time but now can see how much trouble they went to to help us. The song, for anyone that's interested, was Mr Brightside & The Del Sharrons absolutely smashed it. They were awesome!

Throughout the whole build up Matt & the crew have been an absolute pleasure to deal with. In addition to learning our first dance song, they also arrived 5 hours early to complete a sound check so as not to disturb the rest of the day's goings on. I really can't praise them enough on just how much stress they saved us by being genuinely nice people.

Where on earth do I start!!
Matt, we cannot thank you and the band enough for everything you did on Saturday.
From getting there nice and early and set up, to stuffing yourselves with cake just to get us some winners. It was so kind of you to let us use your microphone and also play our ipod.
But the MUSIC!! Oh my goodness me, you were all so amazing.
I had the time of life, which I knew I would, but watching all of my friends and family dance along and enjoy themselves as you performed was even better. The feedback from our guests on your performance has been overwhelming. Thank you for learning Not fade away for me and my dad. He rarely gets up and dances but he was loving it, I could tell!  Everyone that was there has said how great they were - playing guitars behind their heads & standing on the double bass have been popular topics of conversation since the wedding. These guys are AWESOME. If you're thinking of booking a rock n roll band & you're reading this, book them. Trust me, you don't need to see anyone else, you don't even need to see them play first. Just get them booked. Do it now, if they've got the date, because they won't have it for very long!

Thank you, thank you, thank you and I hope I get to see you guys again one day!

With love from

Jill Betterton's 70th Birthday

On Friday 16th September 2016 my partner and I celebrated our 70th birthdays and held a party hosted by The Del Sharrons Band.
The night was fantastic, the music superb, food yummy, thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. The band made it a night to remember. They are very very accommodating right down to the Hokey Cokey !!!! Very personable people play in the Band. Never have any hesitation in booking them!!
Very very many thanks from Jill and John.

Ecclesbourne Valley Railway Tune and chips Rock n Roll Train - Leigh

We were very impressed with the band, acting professionally and sounding great in an unusual situation on board our train. The guests certainly enjoyed the music, as could be seen with them all singing along and enjoying the evening. We'll certainly consider booking the band for future events!

Mallory Park Race Circuit Bike Bonanza - Emily

The Del Sharron’s played at our Bike Bonanza in July.
This is the third time the band have played at one of our events and once again they were undoubtedly brilliant, they had everybody up on their feet and on the dance floor. We cannot keep track of how many people have got in touch letting us know how fantastic they were!
Thank you!

5/5 Superb, just absolutely cracking. The thing you need to know about this band is how much energy they bring to the gig. It's hugely contagious and they had everyone up and dancing in under 5 minutes. Come the end of the gig we've seen the lead guitarist playing solos behind his head and leaping off the furniture, stonking drum solos, and pretty much all of the guests doing the Twist and Shout. Absolutely spot on in every respect, I lost track of how many people told me how good they were. They're also really nice people and turned up exactly when they would, set up and got out with very little fuss. They were really helpful with the pre-show stuff, picking out set-lists and confirming details, and even learnt a new song for our first dance. So yes, highly recommended. Hurry up and book them already.

Bryn Evans - Fresh Inns LTD, Private Party Event, Denbigh  5/5

The Ferrers Centre, Staunton Harold Cherilyn Leeson
The Del Sharrons were one of the main attractions at our Vintage day that we held and they really were absolutely amazing, thanks to them it turned out to be one of the most successful events at the Ferrers Centre. Brilliant music choice, incredible performance both vocally and visually, and a really great bunch too! Couldn't have asked for any better. I'd highly recommend them and we're definitely hoping to arrange another event to be able to book them again!

Newbold Verdon Sports & Social Club. Event : Ibstock & District Pool League Presentation evening and Corah Reunion. Neil Wooldridge
Despite a poor turnout by the Winners on the evening which was both disappointing and embarrassing a cracking night was had by those who attended and they were treated to a lively and fun performance from the band who in response to a slightly merry few in the audience even served up an excellent rendition of Tainted Love by Soft Cell! Once again thanks guys you nailed it.

Stanwick Club Susan Felce
A great night for all, The Del Sharrons certainly pulled out all the stops on Saturday night at Stanwick Club, they sang a brilliant selection of songs so lots of dancing and very entertaining, with a bit of Johnny Cash thrown in for good measure, the crowd loved it, we shall be booking you again, thank you

Shaun Jackson Platform One @TheRailway
"What a cracking night! Their first time at Platform One @TheRailway & definitely not the last.
The band played with an obvious passion for the music, and played very well!
They played 3 superb sets that included everything from your well known Rock 'n' Roll standards to some more obscure numbers. I've never heard Wipeout played live before, and I'll probably never hear played as well again....Superb!
if you ever get the chance to see The Del Sharrons play, I'd highly recommend it."

CHEERS GUYS.

Mallory Park Circuit
The Del Sharrons played for us at the Mallory Bike Bonanza in July and they were fantastic. They all looked the part, they sang a great range of songs from the 50's & 60's and they got everyone up on their feet dancing. We're now looking forward to their return to Mallory in September to play at the Sidecar Bonanza. Great work guys... Thank you!

The Elms Social Club Saturday 5 July
Fifties and Sixties R & R and Pop Dress - Good Presentation - Good Sound - Good Level, nearly perfect mix. Lead Guitar could have been slightly louder. A definite breath of fresh air. This fully live five piece band, fronted by a charming young lady, knocked out some great rock and roll from the 50's and 60's. Even including some songs I had never heard before. There were some slight rough edges to some of the endings, as though they are still getting to grips with the repertoire. Didn't spoil the show though. Just my opinion, with three guys doing backing vocals there was room to work in some harmony, but they all sang the same notes? Yes we liked this band and they projected that feeling that they love what they do. Winner!

Broughton Astley Conservative club 3rd May
WOW what a band "The Del Sharrons!!!" The whole place was Rockin n Rolling. An amazing night of brilliant music from the 50's & 60's. If you missed it heres what you missed and they will be back in September so watch this space!!!!

The Anchor Kegworth 7th July 13
BIG THANKS TO THE DEL SHARRONS
"Well what a treat that was, absolute fantastic". Everyone who attended on the 6th July was treated to a great night of entertainment from The Del Sharrons. The great revival of the 50's & 60's was rocked at The Anchor Inn and we witnessed some incredible sounds from drums, guitar and of course, amazing vocals.

Derek timeline music
It took me a while to realise why the Del Sharron's are different to other groups playing 50’s and 60’s Rock and Roll and Pop songs, and different they certainly are. There is a freshness about this band that makes you realise you are not just listening to familiar songs again but you are getting an experience that somehow had filtered itself into the back of your brain somewhere, then the penny dropped. It’s about youth. When these songs were originally played they were played by the youth of the day. What’s more they were written by the youth of the day about young people’s issues, the love, heartbreak, problems in getting to grips with the adult world and the pure joy of being young. Forget your problems they said, lets fall in love and dance. This for me was not a new experience, I was young once too, but to hear these songs played by an appropriate age group suddenly gave them the meaning and life for which they were written all that time ago. Sharon sings the songs with commitment and her voice will stay with you long after the show is finished. The band perform with vitality in their music and the songs hit you one after the other like a machine gun, but you would expect that. It’s the joy of youth in the music that will take you back to when these songs were new.
So come on everybody, let’s dance.
